LisaAnne has been aware of STAGE since 1995, the year she moved here from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. STAGE was her doorway to all the theatre here in the DFW Metroplex, a word she had never heard before she moved to Texas. STAGE was how she met her very best friend. "Apparently, we had both joined STAGE around the same time. Back in the late 1990's, people still came to STAGE to look at the headshot books and the member applications, which indicated what talents each member possessed. Cindy's and my application both said we could Stage Manage, so a producer hired us both to co-stage manage her company's production of "Trial by Jury" and "HMS Pinafore" It was a match made in heaven!
Several years later, after retiring from Corporate work with Verizon (formerly GTE), she answered an ad for part-time work as Education Coordinator for STAGE. She interviewed for the job and was hired in 2004. Because of STAGE's flexible hours, about 16 months later, she was able to hit the road with the first National Tour of Menopause the Musical then returned to STAGE in 2006 and have been here ever since."
Her history in theatre began back in 1971 with "Barefoot in the Park." Since then she has worked as an actor, singer, chorus gal, stage manager, director, producer and all-around theatre lover for lo, these many years.
"Back in 1995, STAGE was off of Harry Hines Blvd, a place affectionately known as the "Cat House" because of all the feral cats that felt at home there. It was also known as the "Jack Ruby House", but alas it no longer graces the Dallas landscape. When she began at STAGE in 2004, the address was and still is 1106 Lupo Drive in Dallas, TX. As far as I know this is the longest STAGE has ever been anywhere."
Lisa is happy to continue PL Moore's legacy by maintaining the purpose of this organization, which is to help others become the best version of themselves in the entertainment community and in life. No matter what it's known as going forward, this is the place to start.
